Demo Fall 2006: Void Communications: VaporStream

E-mail has a problem - it creates a permanent, time-stamped record that is out of our control. The lack of privacy may be a hindrance to us having open communications.

They started with 2 design guidelines:

1. Couldn't use existing infrastructure
2. Had to be recordless

VaporStream - the world's first recordless electronic communication. Secret is the separation of the message from the header. At no time are these two sets of data stored together.

The system offeres “Instant, guaranteed information and presence information.”

They need to establish new user policies to see the system succeed.
